Warranty and Claims Policy

WARRANTY AND CLAIMS POLICY

Effective Date: October 3, 2026

This policy explains the warranty and claim procedures for products purchased through Ray Cabinetry LLC.

“Ray Cabinetry,” “RC,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Ray Cabinetry LLC. “Customer,” “you,” and “your” mean the individual or entity purchasing products or services from RC.

This policy forms part of RC’s Terms and Conditions.

  1. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

Cabinetry and related products sold by RC are manufactured or supplied by third parties, including Highland Cabinetry.

Products are covered only by the applicable manufacturer’s written warranty unless RC expressly provides an additional warranty in a signed written agreement.

The manufacturer determines:

• Warranty duration
• Product eligibility
• Covered defects
• Exclusions
• Required documentation
• Inspection requirements
• Available remedies
• Replacement eligibility
• Claim-processing time

RC does not create, expand, extend, or replace the manufacturer’s warranty.

  1. RC’S ROLE IN A WARRANTY CLAIM

RC will reasonably assist the Customer in submitting a properly documented claim to the applicable manufacturer or supplier.

RC’s assistance does not guarantee that the manufacturer will approve the claim.

The manufacturer or supplier controls the final eligibility decision and available remedy.

RC may request additional information, photographs, video, access for inspection, product labels, packaging, proof of purchase, or other documentation required to evaluate or submit the claim.

  1. INSPECTION BEFORE ASSEMBLY OR INSTALLATION

The Customer and installer must open, count, and inspect all products before assembly, modification, and installation.

The inspection must confirm:

• Correct product code
• Correct size
• Correct quantity
• Correct door style
• Correct finish or color
• Correct door and drawer configuration
• Acceptable visible condition
• Required components and accessories
• Compatibility with the approved design

The Customer must stop work on an affected product if damage, a shortage, an incorrect item, or another apparent problem is discovered.

The Customer must not assemble, modify, install, repair, return, or discard an affected product without written authorization.

Installing or modifying a product after an issue was—or reasonably should have been—discovered may prevent a return, carrier claim, supplier claim, or manufacturer-warranty remedy.

  1. VISIBLE DAMAGE, SHORTAGES, AND INCORRECT ITEMS

Visible damage, shortages, and incorrect products must be reported to RC within 48 hours after delivery or pickup.

The Customer must email raycabinetryllc@gmail.com and provide:

• Customer’s full name
• Order or invoice number
• Product code
• Affected quantity
• Clear description of the issue
• Wide photographs showing the entire product
• Close photographs showing the issue
• Photographs of the packaging
• Photographs of product and packaging labels
• Delivery receipt or pickup documentation
• Photographs of the pallet or shipment when relevant
• Photographs of surrounding installation conditions when relevant

All products, cartons, pallets, labels, and packaging must be retained until RC or the manufacturer confirms in writing that they may be discarded.

Failure to report a visible issue within 48 hours, preserve the product and packaging, or provide adequate documentation may prevent recovery from the carrier or supplier and may result in denial of the claim.

  1. CONCEALED DAMAGE OR DEFECTS

A concealed issue that could not reasonably be identified during the initial inspection must be reported promptly after discovery and within the applicable manufacturer-warranty period.

The Customer must:

  1. Stop work on the affected product.

  2. Protect the product from further damage.

  3. Photograph the affected product and surrounding conditions.

  4. Retain the product, labels, components, and available packaging.

  5. Contact RC before repairing, modifying, installing, returning, or discarding the product.

Continuing to use, alter, or install a product after discovering an issue may affect claim eligibility.

  1. HOW TO SUBMIT A CLAIM

Claims must be emailed to:

raycabinetryllc@gmail.com

The subject line should include:

“Warranty Claim – [Customer Name] – [Order or Invoice Number]”

The claim should include:

• Customer name
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Order or invoice number
• Delivery or pickup date
• Date the issue was discovered
• Product code
• Quantity affected
• Description of the issue
• Whether the product has been assembled, modified, or installed
• Name of the installer, if applicable
• All required photographs and documents

Incomplete claims may be delayed until the necessary information is provided.

  1. CLAIM REVIEW PROCESS

After receiving the required documentation, RC may:

• Request additional photographs or information
• Request a video showing the issue
• Ask the Customer to perform a reasonable inspection
• Arrange or request an in-person inspection
• Submit the information to the manufacturer or supplier
• Request that the affected product be retained for examination
• Provide additional claim instructions

The Customer must cooperate with reasonable claim requirements.

The Customer must not return a product to RC, Highland Cabinetry, or another supplier unless RC provides written return authorization and instructions.

  1. POSSIBLE WARRANTY REMEDIES

Depending on the applicable warranty and the manufacturer’s decision, an approved remedy may include:

• Product inspection
• Adjustment
• Repair instructions
• Replacement hardware
• Replacement component
• Replacement door or drawer front
• Replacement cabinet or product
• Supplier credit
• Another manufacturer-approved remedy

A warranty claim does not automatically create a right to:

• A full refund
• Cancellation of the entire order
• Replacement of unaffected products
• Installation labor
• Removal or reinstallation
• Freight reimbursement
• Project-delay compensation
• An exact finish match

  1. REPLACEMENT PRODUCTS AND FINISH MATCHING

Replacement components may not exactly match the original products because of:

• Natural wood variation
• Grain and texture variation
• Paint or stain batches
• Manufacturing tolerances
• Normal aging
• Sun exposure
• Environmental conditions
• Product updates
• Discontinued materials or finishes

A reasonable variation between an original product and a replacement is not necessarily a defect.

  1. NORMAL PRODUCT VARIATIONS

Natural wood and manufactured finishes may vary in:

• Color
• Grain
• Texture
• Mineral markings
• Knots or natural characteristics
• Sheen
• Paint or stain absorption
• Door-to-door appearance
• Aging and fading

Lighting, screen settings, photography, room orientation, surrounding colors, and later replacement orders can also affect appearance.

Normal variation is not considered a defect unless the manufacturer determines otherwise.

  1. ITEMS GENERALLY NOT COVERED

Unless the manufacturer’s written warranty expressly states otherwise, coverage generally does not include damage or problems caused by:

• Improper transportation
• Improper unloading
• Improper storage
• Weather exposure
• Water or excessive moisture
• Excessive heat
• Excessive dryness or humidity
• Direct sunlight
• Impact or abrasion
• Misuse or abuse
• Improper cleaning products
• Normal wear and tear
• Improper assembly
• Improper installation
• Unauthorized modification
• Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
• Building movement or settling
• Out-of-square walls
• Uneven floors or ceilings
• Plumbing leaks
• Appliance heat or moisture
• Electrical, HVAC, or gas work
• Countertop installation
• Flooring or wall work
• Pests
• Mold
• Another contractor or trade
• Customer-provided measurements or design errors
• Failure to inspect before installation

  1. THIRD-PARTY INSTALLATION

If RC did not install the affected product, the Customer must address workmanship concerns with the installer or contractor who performed the work.

RC is not responsible for:

• Improper installation
• Unsafe installation
• Incorrect fasteners
• Inadequate wall attachment
• Field modifications
• Cutting errors
• Alignment issues
• Door and drawer adjustment
• Damage caused during installation
• Code violations
• Warranty loss caused by installation
• Labor charged by a third party

A manufacturer product warranty does not automatically cover third-party workmanship.

  1. CUSTOMER OR THIRD-PARTY DAMAGE

Products damaged during Customer transport, unloading, storage, assembly, modification, installation, use, or maintenance are not considered defective merely because they were purchased through RC.

This includes damage caused by a Customer-selected installer, contractor, designer, carrier arranged independently by the Customer, or another trade.

  1. EXCLUDED COSTS

Unless expressly approved in writing by the manufacturer or RC, a warranty or claim remedy does not include:

• Removal
• Reinstallation
• Installation labor
• Contractor charges
• Travel charges
• Storage
• Return trips
• Freight or transportation
• Packaging
• Finishing
• Painting
• Countertops
• Plumbing
• Electrical work
• HVAC work
• Appliance work
• Flooring
• Drywall repair
• Lost use
• Lost income
• Alternate housing
• Project delay
• Trade rescheduling
• Consequential or incidental costs

The Customer should not incur expenses in expectation of reimbursement without prior written approval.

  1. PRODUCT CARE AND STORAGE

Cabinetry must be stored:

• Indoors
• In a dry location
• In a reasonably climate-controlled environment
• Level and properly supported
• Protected from impact
• Protected from construction debris
• Protected from water and excessive moisture
• Protected from extreme temperatures and humidity

The Customer must follow the manufacturer’s care and cleaning instructions.

Do not clean cabinetry with abrasive materials, harsh solvents, excessive water, steam, or unapproved chemicals.

Failure to store, handle, or maintain products properly may affect warranty coverage.

  1. SHIPPING AND PICKUP DAMAGE

Damage that occurs during shipment or before warehouse release must be documented according to RC’s Shipping, Delivery, and Pickup Policy.

Damage occurring after warehouse release—including during Customer transportation, securement, unloading, storage, or third-party handling—is not considered a supplier or carrier claim unless the available evidence establishes otherwise.

  1. UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS OR REPAIRS

The Customer must not return, repair, refinish, alter, discard, or replace an affected product without written authorization.

Unauthorized work or disposal may prevent inspection and result in denial of the claim.

RC is not responsible for costs incurred without prior written approval.

  1. CLAIM PROCESSING TIME

Claim-processing time varies based on:

• Documentation completeness
• Manufacturer response
• Supplier availability
• Inspection requirements
• Replacement inventory
• Assembly requirements
• Shipping and freight schedules

RC will provide updates when reasonably available but cannot guarantee a claim-resolution or replacement date.

  1. LIMITATION OF REMEDIES

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RC’s responsibility for an approved product claim is limited to facilitating or providing the remedy authorized by the manufacturer or supplier.

RC’s total liability for a product claim will not exceed the amount the Customer paid to RC for the affected product.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law.

  1. POLICY ACCEPTANCE

By purchasing, receiving, assembling, modifying, or installing products sold through RC, the Customer acknowledges and accepts this Warranty and Claims Policy.
